Terms and conditions
The rules for buying and taking a OneGrade course.
Last updated: 8 October 2026 · Versão em português
These terms are available in English and Portuguese. Both versions have the same value; if they differ, the meaning more favourable to you applies.
1. Who we are
These terms are a contract between you and OneGrade, a company being registered in Portugal (its name, tax number (NIPC) and registered office will be published here as soon as registration is complete, and in any case before any sale) ("OneGrade", "we"). Contact: [email protected].
2. Who can buy
Our courses are for adults aged 18 and over. By buying a course you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are buying it for yourself as a consumer.
3. The course and the plans
The course "European Portuguese A2" takes you from zero to CEFR level A2 in European Portuguese, with explanations in English. Every plan includes the full self-study course (5 modules) with 6 months of access, counted from the day your access starts.
| Plan | Price (IVA included) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | €290 | Self-study course (5 modules), auto-graded tests, 10 CIPLE-format writing and speaking tasks with personal feedback within 48 hours |
| Premium | €490 | Everything in Basic + 30 live lessons (1 hour) in a group of up to 5 people, with recordings |
| Exclusive | €790 | Everything in Basic + 16 hours of one-to-one lessons, with recordings |
Live lessons take place online on Google Meet. You need a stable internet connection, a microphone and, ideally, a camera.
What we don't promise. We prepare you for level A2 and train the same types of tasks as the CIPLE exam. We do not guarantee that you will pass CIPLE or any other exam, or that you will obtain a residence permit, citizenship or a job: that depends on you and on the official rules, which we do not control.
Our certificate of completion is not an official document. The official proof of A2 is the CIPLE exam, which you book and pay for separately: the exam fee is not included in our prices.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros and include IVA (VAT) at the applicable rate.
- You pay once, in full, before your access starts. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Where we offer instalments with Klarna, that credit is a separate agreement between you and Klarna.
- We send the invoice and a copy of these terms to your email.
5. Live lessons (Premium and Exclusive)
- Premium: a group starts when at least 3 people have joined, usually within about 2 weeks. If your group has not started 4 weeks after your payment, you can choose to: (a) wait for the next group; (b) switch to Exclusive, paying the difference; or (c) give up the live lessons and get back €200, keeping the self-study course — or a full refund if you have not started using the course yet.
- Premium lessons follow a fixed group schedule; Exclusive lessons are booked with the teacher.
- You can cancel or move a lesson no later than 12 hours before it starts. A lesson missed without cancelling in time counts as given; you can watch its recording. If we cancel a lesson, we give it again at another time.
- Live lessons must be used within your 6 months of access.
6. Lesson recordings
- Live lessons are recorded so that you can watch them again. Recordings of your group's lessons are available to you and the other members of your group during the access period. You can keep your camera off.
- We may use a recording of a group lesson in our self-study course, for other students, only if everyone who can be seen or heard in it has agreed in writing (a separate, optional consent). You can withdraw that consent at any time and we will remove or blur your part. One-to-one lessons are never shown to other people.
- You may not record, copy or share lessons or recordings yourself.
7. Access and use of materials
- Your access is personal: don't share your login or pass on course materials.
- Course materials, videos and recordings belong to OneGrade or its teachers. You may use them for your own learning only.
- After 6 months your access ends. You can extend it for a fee we tell you before you pay.
- We may improve the course content during your access; we will not remove what you paid for.
8. Your right to cancel (withdrawal)
As a consumer you can cancel this distance contract within 14 days of the purchase without giving a reason (Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014, art. 10.º). How much you get back depends on whether you asked us to start during those 14 days:
| Situation | What you get back |
|---|---|
| You have not started the course and no lesson has taken place | The full price |
| Basic: you asked for immediate access and confirmed at checkout that you lose the right to cancel once access starts (art. 17.º, n.º 1, al. l)) | No refund after access has started |
| Premium / Exclusive: you asked us to start within the 14 days (art. 15.º) | The price, minus the course part (€290) if you asked for immediate access to it and confirmed the loss of the right to cancel for that part, and minus the lessons already given: €6.67 per Premium lesson, €31.25 per Exclusive hour |
To cancel, send us a clear statement by email to [email protected]; you may use the model form below. We refund within 14 days of receiving it, using the same payment method, at no cost to you.

10. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force on the day you bought the course.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. This doesn't take away the protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
